Cue Sports
The Napier RSA Cue Sports is the “Adjunct” name that covers all of our billiards sports.
The Napier RSA boasts 4 full sized snooker tables and 2 hand crafted pool tables that attracts members of all ages and interests.
Snooker is our strongest activity as an adjunct, however the Napier RSA also provides a senior snooker group and pool.
We encourage anyone playing on the snooker tables to please support the maintenance of the tables by using the donation box, it is located by the door to the decking / room lights.
We pride ourselves in keeping the tables in good condition for all players to enjoy. The Napier RSA Pool tables are only a $1 and are a great addition to groups who come in to the RSA for events or meals.
With any of our Snooker or Pool tables, children must be directly supervised. Children who are not supervised will be asked to not touch the tables.

Snooker

Thursday night dash
Sunday tournaments
Socially the sport of snooker gathers a full range of players from juniors to ladies. Regular tournaments are popular with members and we welcome more members to be part of our fun, active and friendly team.
We are active each week with our Thursday night Dash starting at 7.00pm, this is a round robin drawn partners.
Our monthly tournaments are normally held on Sunday’s, details for the tournaments are posted on our Snooker Notice Board, and we also have a tournament calendar on this board too.
Tournaments range with Open, Pairs, Singles, Handicaps, and memorial events. We are also part of a round robin interclub tournament with Clubs Hastings and Waipukarau.
A popular tournament held each year is our Jack n Jill, it is all about having fun and a perfect break up for our adjunct – held in December Napier RSA Masters is a tradition for over 25 years designed for players over 40 years old and encourages players from around NZ, many of our adjunct members help to organize and host this event held during labour weekend
Senior Snooker

Wednesdays, 12.30pm
The Napier RSA Senior Snooker is designed to encourage a fair game due to a common factor – age. Snooker is a classic game played by all ages, however our Senior Snooker is about enjoying the game like we did when we were younger, but in our finer years. We share an older style of humour but genuine competitiveness.
Wednesdays 12.30pm we host our regular weekly tournament games open to senior players. As a group we enjoy our weekly competition, some break off for additional games during the week, and a great favourite is our annual Christmas break-up Napier RSA houses 4 full sized Snooker tables in the sports wing that is used by all Snooker players, our committed time slot for our weekly games is the Wednesday 12.30pm.
Our players are dedicated year round with the odd exception such as ANZAC or Christmas Day. We are a friendly group players from differing backgrounds, Snooker is a great sport and for many of our players is a great way to get out of the house and catching up with friends.
Pool
In recent years the Napier RSA Cue Sports has prominently been focused on Snooker. However, with many new members showing interest in Pool we are reviving this activity at the Napier RSA. We have two quality tables made from our good friends Heaphy Billiards.
Socially our tables are well used by many of our members and visitors. With options to play in Clubs NZ tournaments and local leagues we have been offering tournaments that are open to everyone, this will help us grow our teams and 8 ball activities.
