The Napier RSA is owned by the members, what we do on a daily basis is to benefit the members. The demographic of our membership ranges from fixed income to highly qualified professionals and we have an age range between 19 and 99. It is on this basis I believe we have something to offer everyone. If you do decide to join this club or any other for that matter I look forward to meeting you either as a member or an affiliated member.

Managing any club in today’s environment is likened to a juggling act with one ball too many. Clubs are the epicentre of the community, they provide everything from welfare to entertainment and while the challenges are immense, the rewards are both stimulating and incredibly satisfying.

The Napier RSA offers a broad base of facilities to its more modern members yet keeps the tradition of our founding documents very much to the forefront of our daily operations.

Being a member here at the Napier RSA since 1979 and in this time I have made many friends and a lifestyle that I enjoy.

Over these years I have been an Executive Committee member, assisted the management team and some of my main roles at the moment chairperson of the Sports Council, Poppy Trust, Welfare Trust, Events committee along with an active member of Spoofing, travel club, Housie, Outdoor bowls.  I really enjoy this club and can say that it is a great organisation to be part and recommend becoming a member of our club.

Every day the Napier RSA is an alive and activity filled club, hence at any one time we are planning, organizing and preparing for many events.

This allows our team to continuously interact with members, local and overseas visitors on a regular basis. We enjoy meeting and helping all of our customers.

I personally enjoy being part of an environment that offers a safe and enjoyable atmosphere.

Ensuring the smooth operation of all financial and administration matters of our club is a challenge which I enjoy. We have two businesses under our roof the Napier RSA and the Norfolk Lounge Restaurant that require careful and thorough management.  I respect and have excellent working relations with management in all business areas, adjuncts and members in general. Our reception is shared with myself and Vicki, we are often the first point of contact with members and visitors alike either by phone or in person.

We pride ourselves on our hospitality and welcome all into our club, managing our host responsibility to all our guests.

Almost 100,000 people dine at the Norfolk Lounge annually; and as the newest manager, this menu ranges from smorgasbord, carvery, bar snacks, take-a-ways to meals on wheels is a great opportunity to continue the excellent work the Bev and her team have offered over the years. We cater for private functions such as Conferences, Birthdays, Reunions, Weddings, Breakfasts etc to both members and visitors to Napier as the Restaurant is Licensed for and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

The Norfolk Lounge hosts many Community Service Groups meetings during the week and can provide private functions facilities for both small and large groups up to 300 people.

The Restaurant is open 6½ days a week and offers charge backs to motels or private companies as required. We also open for private functions with special menus catered outside of normal trading hours if required.
